Become a Volunteer and Donate Time

One of the most important things you can do for your local Red Cross Chapter is donate your time.

We are always seeking new volunteers for a variety of projects. Whether you can commit a few hours or are looking for a more long-term commitment, there are ways you can help us in our mission to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

For more information please contact Angela Russell at (ext. 107.

Criminal Background Check:
All employees and volunteers of the American Red Cross must successfully complete a nation-wide criminal background check through a single, mandatory vendor (MyBackgroundCheck.com) before they begin their service. This vendor was chosen for its reputation of maintaining a high level of security. Social Security numbers are encrypted immediately so that no one - including the chapter administrator and vendor employees - can view them. You can also be assured that your background check will not include a credit check. The Red Cross has only authorized verification of your Social Security number and a search of the National Criminal File (for the past seven years).
